COACHELLA, CA – One Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 86 at 50th Avenue

Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 86 in Coachella

 
COACHELLA, CA (March 20, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash Wednesday morning in Coachella.
 
The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. along the southbound lanes Highway 86 at 50th Avenue.
 
According to an initial dispatch, a black Silverado had rolled over for unknown reasons. A big rig may have been involved but no further details were provided.
 
At least one fatality was found as a result of the crash and a coroner was notified to conduct a full report.
 
A southbound lane of Highway 86 has been closed near 50th Avenue while the investigation was being conducted. Traffic was backed up to to Dillon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic website.
