Fresno Fatal Crash
Fresno, CA (August 14, 2021) – On Saturday, a 32-year-old Clovis man died in Highway 99 collision.
The fatal accident took place at about 8:15 a.m. near Ashlan Avenue.
Officers said a Caltrans maintenance crew in a sweeper truck was cleaning the center median. Then, a Honda Civic crashed with a Caltrans safety truck.
Subsequently, the Honda Civic spun into another lane and struck a big rig and a school bus without children onboard.
The victim sustained major injuries in the accident. Rescuers took him to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died a few hours later.
Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating the Highway 99 collision.
Officers said it’s unclear if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this fatal incident, and the Honda driver did not see the Caltrans truck.
