Two Vehicles Crash Head-On near Highway 12
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 6, 2019) – Clinton Young suffered injuries after a head-on crash on Highway 49 on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Highway 12 at approximately 3:00 PM. Based on an initial report, 62-year-old Nesva Mehlegha of Roseville stopped her 2017 Kia at the stop sign on Highway 49 to turn left. She failed to notice a 2014 Ford Focus driven by 38-year-old Young of Escalon traveling northbound on Highway 49. The Focus struck the left corner of the Kia before both vehicles came to rest and blocked the roadway.
The paramedics sent Young to a local hospital for minor injuries. However, Mehlegha did not sustain injuries in the incident.
Drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash and no one was cited nor arrested. In addition, the crash is still currently under investigation.
