46-Year-Old Motorcyclist Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles near Sprague Avenue Onramp
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (May 22, 2018) – A motorcyclist died on Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by two vehicles on Interstate 90 near the Sprague Avenue on-ramp. Authorities identified the victim as 46-year-old Clinton Heindl, a resident of Reardan.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a westbound 2013 Ducati Superbike, driven by Heindl, was entering the freeway when it slammed into a barrier. The impact of the crash ejected the rider onto the westbound lanes of I-90, where a 2005 Subaru Forester and a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta struck him.
Heindl was rushed to the Sacred Heart Medical Center with critical injuries, where he was later pronounced dead. The condition and the identities of the two drivers involved in the accident were not immediately available.
Speed was listed as the main cause of the collision, but authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident. No additional information is available at this time.
