MCKINLEYVILLE, CA (May 20, 2019) – One person died after an alleged hit-and-run collision in McKinleyville on Saturday, May 18.
47-year-old Clinton Eugene Deckert II of McKinleyville was walking in northbound along the east shoulder of Central Avenue. In addition, this was just south of Bella Vista Road.
25-year-old Shala Marie Bianco of McKinleyville was driving a black 1997 Toyota Rav4 northbound on Central Avenue. Police stated she was approaching to the rear of Deckert. As the Toyota approached Deckert, Bianco made an unsafe turn and turned the Toyota to the right.
