Clayton Hefty Dead in Chandler Car Collision
CHANDLER, AZ (October 3, 2019) – A man died in a golf cart and passenger car collision near Gilbert Road on October 1.
The incident happened at about 10:00 a.m. near Gilbert Road and Riggs Road. According to the police, the vehicle traveled south when the collision with the golf cart occurred. The impact ejected the golf cart operator.
Responders transported 93-year-old Clayton Hefty of Chandler, the golf cart operator, to a local hospital in serious condition. Unfortunately, Hefty died at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the passenger car’s driver stayed at the scene
Authorities ruled out speed, impairment and criminal activity as a factor in the collision.
