Driver Claudio Navarrobernal Dies in State Route 28 Vehicle Crash [Douglas County, WA]

Douglas County, WA (July 28, 2024) – 32-year-old Claudio Navarrobernal was killed and others were injured in a State Route 28 vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

The fatal head-on crash happened at 2:30 a.m. east of Quincy.

Troopers said the westbound vehicle driven by Navarrobernal crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.

Navarrobernal was not wearing a seatbelt and was declared deceased at the scene. 

The two people in the eastbound vehicle, both in their 40s, were taken to a local hospital. 

WSP officers are investigating this fatal collision.
