Rear-End Accident Involving Bus in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (January 18, 2019) – Friday evening, a city bus and a vehicle were involved in a rear end accident on Aurora Avenue.
It was reported that the accident occurred just before 5:00 PM on north Aurora Avenue and 85th Street.
According to surveillance video, it was clear that a car driven by a 70-year-old man rear ended a King County Metro E line bus. Metro officials said the bus was in the bus zone at the time of the accident, it was back in service by 5:30 PM.
Due to the impact of the collision, all southbound lanes on Aurora Avenue were closed.
Driver of the vehicle was taken to Harborview Medical Center for further medical evaluation as he was in critical condition. No one on the bus was injured.
