Morrissey Jiminez Arrested for Suspected DUI that Hospitalized Two People
CHULA VISTA, CA (March 30, 2018) – A mother and her toddler were rushed to the hospital Friday night after an alleged DUI collision at G Street and 5th Avenue.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the incident happened around 6:15 PM when a black BMW heading south ran a red light with speeds ranging between 50 and 60 mph. It broadsided a red Honda Civic driven by a 36-year-old mother, with her young daughter sitting as a passenger.
The mother received multiple injuries, such as a broken rib and bruises on her neck and chest. Fortunately, the daughter, described to be about three to four-years-old, did not sustain any injuries. She was reported to be properly secured in a seatbelt. They were both taken to the UC San Diego Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.
Morrissey Jiminez, the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, suffered a possible broken right wrist. He was arrested at the scene for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
