62-Year-Old Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Moss Street and 4th Avenue
CHULA VISTA, CA (March 11, 2018) – A 62-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Moss Street on Sunday night, around 9:45 PM.
Officers found the injured man lying in the road on the intersection of Moss Street and Fourth Avenue. The victim succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was later understood that the man lived on Moss St.
Police are now looking for the suspect vehicle, a gray BMW. Reports state that the BMW did not stop after hitting the man and kept driving westbound on Moss. According to Lt. Buddy Magor, the passenger side mirror of the car was left at the scene after the accident and investigators said the car likely has significant damage to its right front bumper.
