42-Year-Old Riverside Woman Identified as Pedestrian Found Dead near Madison Street North
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (October 6, 2018) – A woman was killed early Saturday morning following a suspected hit-and-run collision near Madison Street North. The victim was later identified as 42-year-old Chrystal Lanae Murray, a resident of Riverside.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, the incident took place shortly after 4:00 AM on West Base Line Street. First responders found the victim suffering from injuries that appeared to have been caused by a vehicle. Events that led to the collision were not immediately available.
Murray succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian, leaving her injured in the road. It is unclear whether or not the driver was aware of the collision.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.
