Chrsthian Lopez-Peсa Killed in West Sanford Street Head-On Collision [Arlington, TX]

Arlington, TX (October 28, 2023) – 26-year-old Chrsthian Lopez-Peсa was killed following a West Sanford Street head-on collision Wednesday night.

The authorities responded to the three-vehicle collision at about 7:39 p.m. in the 1500 block area between North Fielder Road and North Davis Drive.

According to the authorities, a 2007 Toyota Tundra was eastbound along West Sanford Street when the driver lost control of the pickup. 

The Tundra swerved into the opposite lane and crashed into a westbound 2013 Honda Civic. 

As a result, the Civic spun and collided with a Kia Spectra that was parked in a nearby driveway.

The Civic driver, Chrsthian Lopez-Peсa was declared deceased at the scene. 

Moreover, the teenage male driving the Tundra escaped serious injury and was treated and released by medics at the scene. 

Officers conducted a series of field sobriety tests on the teenage male and stated that there were no signs of intoxication. 

However, further investigation revealed that the teenage male was possessing marijuana and was arrested. The authorities added that speed and road conditions have been contributing factors in the fatal collision.

The Arlington Police Department is investigating.
