68-Year-Old Dayton Woman Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident at Third Street
DAYTON, WA (April 15, 2018) – On Sunday morning around 5:17 AM, a woman was struck and injured by a car on East Main Street (US Highway 12).
The accident took place on the intersection of E Main and Third Streets. 38-year-old Christina Lynch of Pomeroy was traveling westbound in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, when she began to make a left turn onto Third. She failed to yield for a pedestrian that was crossing main, and struck the woman.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the victim, 68-year-old Christy Bell of Dayton, to the Dayton General Hospital for treatment. The severity of her injuries has not been disclosed. No other injuries were reported in this collision.
Lynch was cited for failing to yield the right of way, according to the Washington State Patrol. No other information has been released to the public at this time.
