Christopher Midwell Dead, Thomas Strader Injured after Spokane Motorcycle Accident
SPOKANE, WA (September 9, 2019) — A man identified as Christopher Midwell died in a motorcycle crash on Friday, September 6.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 291, one mile north of Spokane at around 2:59 a.m.
WSP said that 25-year-old Christopher A. Midwell of Spokane rode his motorcycle and crossed over the center line into the opposite lane of traffic. After that, he struck a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. The impact ejected Midwell from his motorcycle.
Midwell died at the scene, the WSP said. The driver of the cavalier, 23-year-old Thomas D. Strader, sustained injuries. Paramedics transported him to Sacred Heart Medical Center. No information has been released on the condition of his injuries.
The Spokane Regional Traffic Management Center tweeted at about 7:14 a.m. that one lane each way had reopened on Highway 291.
