I-90 Multi-Vehicle Crash Results in Injuries
Ellensburg, WA (April 22, 2022) – On Wednesday night, Christopher Armstrong, 37, of Mississippi, was involved in a DUI crash on Interstate 90 that injured other people.
Officers say Armstrong was driving an eastbound 2015 Mercedes S on the freeway when he rear-ended a 2014 Honda CR-V.
As a result, the Honda went off the road to the right and rested on the driver’s side about 150 feet off the road.
Armstrong’s Mercedes blocked the freeway and struck a 2012 Toyota Camry.
Immediately, the paramedics took Armstrong to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for his injuries.
Moreover, the emergency rescuers airlifted the Honda driver, a 58-year-old Bothell man, to Harborview. They also airlifted a Toyota passenger, a 32-year-old Yakima woman, to the Seattle Hospital.
The rescuers also took the Toyota driver, a 38-year-old Ridgefield, WA resident, to Kittitas Valley hospital.
According to the investigators, Armstrong and the two Toyota occupants were not wearing seatbelts during the accident.
Officers say Armstrong was driving impaired. They expect him to be charged with vehicular assault and driving with a suspended license.
The authorities are investigating this incident.
Never drink and drive.
Injuries in a DUI Collision
According to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year. It is therefore important to follow all the traffic laws to avoid these types of accidents.
“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.
Moreover, the most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash like the DUI crash on Interstate 90 is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of a party.
