Christopher Allen Arrested in Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident on 47th Avenue [Glendale, AZ]

Glendale, AZ (July 1, 2023, 2023) On Friday evening, GPD arrested 54-year-old Christopher Allen after a hit-and-run accident on 47th Avenue that kills a 66-year-old man.

According to the Glendale Police Department (GPD), the fatal auto-pedestrian crash happened around 9 p.m. near 47th Avenue and Olive Avenue.

Reports say that a white Chevrolet fatally struck the male pedestrian and fled the scene after the collision. Witnesses were able to get the license plate of the Chevy before the suspect driver was able to drive farther.

GPD was able to locate the owner of the vehicle, identified as Allen, and arrested the suspect at a local business. Officers found drugs in Allen’s possession.

Police booked Christopher Allen into jail for drug possession and leaving the scene of a collision.
