38-Year-Old Woman Dies after Collision with Train near Lincoln Avenue
SANTA ANA, CA (September 3, 2018) – A woman was killed late Monday evening after she was struck by a train near Lincoln Avenue. The victim was later identified by the Orange County Coroner’s office as 38-year-old Christine Cunningham. Her city of residence is currently unknown.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 11:53 PM. The victim was walking near the tracks when she was hit by the freight train at 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
Cunningham sustained fatal injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. No other injuries were reported by the authorities. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. There were no additional details provided to the public.
