Modesto, CA (July 13, 2023) On Saturday afternoon, 27-year-old Christine Chavez of Modesto was left lifeless after a tragic accident on Beard Brook Park.

According to the Modesto Police Department (MPD), the fatal lawn mower crash happened at about noon in Beard Brook Park, south of Yosemite Avenue along Dry Creek.

Reports say that a crew member of a landscaping company mowed over a sleeping person. Officials identified the person as Chavez, she was asleep on the grass when she was hit by the lawn mower.

Authorities are investigating the tragic lawn mower crash and have not released additional information at this time.
