Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Banning
Banning, CA (March 20, 2024) – 29-year-old Christina Rodriguez of Banning was fatally hit on Interstate 10 early Wednesday morning.
It was about 12:30 a.m. March 13 when the deadly hit-and-run crash happened on the eastbound freeway, approximately a quarter-mile east of Eighth Street.
Officers said the victim was walking within lanes when she was struck by a driver who fled eastbound.
The impact of the collision threw Rodriguez into the slow lane. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics declared her deceased at the scene minutes later.
In the meantime, there is no information if drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the collision.
