Christina Brown of Vancouver Canada Injured in US 101 DUI Crash [Del Norte County, CA]

Del Norte County, CA (March 23, 2024) – Christina Brown, 52, of Vancouver Canada was injured following a US 101 DUI crash Friday morning.

It was about 9:15 a.m. on March 22 when the two-vehicle crash happened near Mile Post Marker 101 DN 14.65.

Investigators said Hortencia Felt, 41, of Redway, was driving a northbound Ford on US 101 while Brown was driving a southbound Volvo on the same freeway.

Suddenly, Felt lost control of her vehicle and it traveled in a northwest direction across the solid double yellow lines toward the Volvo’s path. 

Brown observed the Ford traveling in her direction but was unable to avoid it. 

As a result, the two vehicles collided head-on.

Both parties were transported by Del Norte Ambulance to Sutter Coast Hospital. 

Officers have ruled out drugs and alcohol as a contributing factor in this collision.
