Fatality Reported in Cathedral City Deadly Crash
Cathedral City, CA (October 15, 2024) – 60-year-old Christina Barrington lost her life in a hit-and-run crash on E Palm Canyon Drive early Friday morning.
It was about 12:46 a.m. when the authorities received a report of a woman down in the roadway near Bankside Drive
Officers responded and located Christina Barrington suffering from severe injuries. The authorities also located her scooter more than a quarter of a mile away.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed Barrington to Desert Regional Medical Center.
The authorities were told Saturday that Barrington has died.
Moreover, investigators determined Barrington was riding her scooter eastbound on East Palm Canyon Drive when a vehicle rear-ended her.
The vehicle dragged the scooter and fled.
On Monday, the authorities located a suspect and the vehicle in Rancho Mirage.
