1 Dead in Long Beach Auto Accident on 710 Freeway and 7th Street
LONG BEACH, CA (October 30, 2023) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Christian Castillas after a brutal rear-end crash on 710 Freeway and 7th Street.
The incident happened at around 2:10 a.m. on 710 Freeway and 7th Street.
According to reports, 27-year-old Castillas drove a 2018 Honda Civic that rear-ended a Long Beach Fire Department BLS unit.
Thus, after being taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony driving under the influence causing bodily injury. His bail was set at $100,000.
Meanwhile, his female passenger was declared dead at the scene. Her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Moreover, officers confirmed that no one in the ambulance suffered injuries.
