CHP Sergeant Injured after San Diego Motorcycle Accident on 15 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 18, 2019) — A CHP sergeant was injured in a motorcycle accident on 15 Freeway on Thursday, October 17.
According to CHP Officer Tommy Strickland, the accident happened just before 5:40 p.m. on north 15 Freeway near Rancho Bernardo Road. The crash appeared to be a single-vehicle incident that involves only the CHP motorcycle.
The sergeant had injuries to his head and neck and medics rushed him to a hospital with minor injuries, Strickland stated.
Caltrans San Diego said that officials blocked three northbound 15 Freeway lanes because of the incident. All lanes were reopened by about 7:15 p.m.
No other information was immediately released.
