CHP Officer Sustains Injury in Interstate 5 Traffic Accident [Redding, CA]

Pedestrian Accident North of the Bonnyview Exit Sends One to Hospital

Redding, CA (August 04, 2022) – On Thursday morning, a CHP officer sustained injuries in an Interstate 5 traffic accident.

The traffic collision took place just before 1 a.m. on the northbound freeway north of the Bonnyview exit.

The authorities say an officer was blocking off the far right lane wherein two cars collided minutes earlier. 

Suddenly, a car approaching lost control and struck the patrol vehicle, and grazed the CHP officer who was getting out of his vehicle.

The victim incurred minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

In the meantime, police are investigating the pedestrian accident north of the Bonnyview exit.
