CHP Officer Sustains Injury in Interstate 5 Traffic Accident [Redding, CA]

Redding, CA (August 04, 2022) – On Thursday morning, a CHP officer sustained injuries in an Interstate 5 traffic accident.

The traffic collision took place just before 1 a.m. on the northbound freeway north of the Bonnyview exit.

The authorities say an officer was blocking off the far right lane wherein two cars collided minutes earlier. 

Suddenly, a car approaching lost control and struck the patrol vehicle, and grazed the CHP officer who was getting out of his vehicle.
