3 Victims Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident near Sixth Street in Modesto
MODESTO, CA (May 8, 2020) – Tuesday evening, a three-vehicle crash near Sixth Street left a CHP officer with major injuries.
According to the Modesto Fire Department, the crash occurred just before 9:00 p.m., near Sixth Street and H Street. Emergency personnel arrived to the area shortly after.
The authorities revealed that the CHP vehicle and two other vehicles all entered the intersection at the same time. There, both vehicles struck the driver’s side of the patrol vehicle.
When the medical responders arrived that the scene, they transported the two vehicle drivers to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old CHP officer was later identified as a nine-year veteran of the department. Although she suffered major injuries, it was clarified that it was non-life-threatening.
The California Highway Patrol does not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
