San Marcos Motorcycle Crash on Highway 78
SAN MARCOS, CA (October 23, 2019) – A CHP officer suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 78 on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 8:55 AM just east of Nordahl Road.
Based on a report, the victim’s motorcycle struck the back of a van in the far left lane. The event that led to the accident is not yet known.
The paramedics confirmed that the victim suffered major injuries due to impact.
A SigAlert issued around 9:10 a.m. shutting down the three left lanes of the highway.
An investigation is ongoing to verify the information and determine liabilities. However, no other information has been disclosed at this time.
