1 Hurt in Sacramento Motorcycle Accident
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 4, 2019) – A CHP officer sustained injuries in a motorcycle and truck collision on February 28.
According to reports, the South Sacramento officer drove north on 30th Street and F Street. At the same time, a gray Ford pickup just a lane over, turned left onto westbound F Street. The Ford turned just in front of the officer.
Meanwhile, the CHP officer in a motorcycle attempted to stop to prevent colliding with the Ford. However, the motorcycle crashed with Ford’s left front end.
The impact threw off the officer from his bike and hit the pavement.
“Luckily, the motor officer only sustained minor injuries. After being checked out at a local hospital, the officer was released and is now at home resting. This is a good reminder to everyone to always lookout for motorcyclists when [driving],” the CHP revealed.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other vehicles around you. Pay attention and consider smaller vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles. These vehicles are more prone to accidents than bigger vehicles.
