1 Hospitalized in Colton Hit-and-Run Accident on Washington Street
COLTON, CA (May 29, 2022) – On Friday, a CHP officer sustained injuries following a wrong-way crash on Washington Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on West Washington Street.
Reports revealed that a CHP officer attempted to stop a wrong-way driver. However, the CHP patrol vehicle and the suspect vehicle collided for still unknown reasons. Afterward, the suspect driver fled the scene on foot.
Moreover, the CHP officer sustained minor injuries in the incident. Responding officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect at Del Taco.
Furthermore, authorities said that the suspect will be facing DUI and felony hit and run charges.
