Fatal 2-Car Wreck Highway 120 in Chinese Camp
CHINESE CAMP, CA (January 31, 2019) – One peson was killed following a two-car crash Thursday night in western Tuolumne County, authorities said.
The fatal crash happened around 6:16 p.m. around 6:16 p.m. on Highway 120 at Sims Road.
According to the CHP’s log, a Toyota Prius and a black Ford SUV collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused major damage on both cars.
Responding firefighters and paramedics extricated two people who were pinned inside the wreckage.
A total of three patients were hurt as a result of the crash. One of them sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name, age and town of residence of deceased was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
A coroner was called to the scene to conduct a full report. An investigation is still ongoing.
