1 Dead, 2 Injured as Car Wraps Around Pole in Fatal Collision near Harry bridges Boulevard
WILMINGTON, CA (August 27, 2018) – A child was killed Monday morning in a violent crash on Quay Street. The young victim’s name and place of residence were not immediately released to the public.
According to reports, the collision occurred at approximately 11:30 AM in the 200 block of Quay Street, near Harry Bridges Boulevard.
The witnesses stated that a white Lexus was speeding on the road prior to the incident. The driver apparently lost control, crashed, and wrapped around a railroad sign in the area.
A boy, believed to be 10 years old, was killed in the incident. A man and another boy, estimated to be 6 to 8 years old, were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The identities of the victims and their relationship to one another were not disclosed.
It wasn’t clear what caused the crash and if drugs and alcohol were contributing factors. No further details have been provided as the case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department at this time.
