Injuries Reported in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Bank Street and Holtby Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 17, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a child sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on Bank Street and Holtby Road.
An 8-year-old child was hit by a vehicle in central Bakersfield at about 1:45 p.m. on Bank Street and Holtby Road.
The collision occurred near Roosevelt Elementary, and school district officials confirmed the victim was a student.
Meanwhile, the Bakersfield Fire Department reported that the 8-year-old was in critical condition and was transported to Kern Medical for treatment. The Bakersfield Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
