Battle Ground School Bus Accident Injures 10-Year-Old Boy, James Landgenbach Arrested
Battle Ground, WA (May 13, 2021) – On Wednesday, a 10-year-old boy was injured and police arrested James Landgenbach in a truck crash on Highway 503.
The Battle Ground bus accident happened at 9:13 a.m. at Milepost 12.
Officers said Landgenbach, on a northbound 1996 GMC Sonoma pickup, drove at an excessive speed.
He collided into a southbound school bus driven by Juline Dual as it turned left across the lane, and into the pickup’s path.
Right away, a private party took the boy, who was on the bus, to the hospital. The extent of his injuries and his condition is currently unknown.
Moreover, neither driver was injured in the accident.
Landgenbach faces a charge of speeding, while Dual is being charged with failure to yield.
Since you cannot read the intention of the driver in front of you, don’t tailgate. Maintain some distance between your car and the car ahead in order to give yourself enough response time should the car ahead make a sudden turn or stop.
Experts recommend using a three to four seconds gap.
