Child Injured in Fatal Collision on Interstate 20 [Balch Springs, TX]

Balch Springs, TX (June 28, 2024) – A 33-year-old man has died and a child was injured in a vehicle collision on Interstate 20 Thursday afternoon.

It was about 2:45 p.m. when the collision happened near the intersection with Beltline Road.

Troopers said the driver lost control of his car and it rolled over several times. The car ended upside down near the parking lot of a Fox Fuel Station.

The driver and the small child were both ejected during the collision.

Sadly, the man driving the car was killed at the scene.

A good Samaritan performed life-saving measures on the child and the paramedics rushed the child for surgery.
