Child Critically Injured in Accident on Alta Arden Expressway [Arden-Arcade, CA]

Arden-Arcade, CA (October 4, 2023) – A child below 10 years old was injured Tuesday afternoon following a pedestrian accident on Alta Arden Expressway.

The traffic accident happened before 5:30 p.m. at Howe Avenue.

CHP officers said the victim was walking in a crosswalk with their mother when at the same time, a 40-year-old woman who was northbound Alta Arden Expressway. She was attempting to turn right onto Howe Avenue when she hit the child. 

The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical injuries.

The mother was not injured in the accident.

Moreover, the driver was remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. No arrest has been announced.
