Child Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 80 [Richmond, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Causing Multi-Car Collision near El Portal Drive

 
RICHMOND, CA (April 13, 2019) – A child was hospitalized Saturday evening following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near El Portal Drive, at about 10:09 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle caused a collision, which involved around eight cars.
 
Emergency responders transported a child to UCSF Children’s Hospital Oakland for precautionary reasons. No other injuries were reported by the authorities. Meanwhile, the vehicle that caused the crash immediately fled the area.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the collision. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
