HESPERIA, CA (April 25, 2019) – A child was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon on Manzanita Street near 8th Avenue.
 
According to officials, First Responders rushed the gravely injured child to Desert Valley Hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, the boy succumbed to his injuries.
 
In the investigation, deputies learned that the boy, his parents and grandparents were in the front yard of a home preparing to leave. However, a 51-year-old woman drove forward, attempting to exit the property, and ran over the child.
 
No other information was available, but officials are investigating this case further.
