Child Killed, Woman Charged in State Route 9 Crash
Everson, WA (June 24, 2021) – On Wednesday, a child died, while a 26-year-old woman was arrested in State Route 9 semi-truck crash.
The accident took place at about 11:30 a.m. south of Hopewell Road.
Officers immediately responded to the scene and found a wrecked car and a semi-truck at the crash site.
Rescuers transported the woman driving the car to St. Joseph Hospital in critical condition.
Unfortunately, the woman’s child was killed in the accident.
Moreover, police said the woman is facing vehicular homicide charges. She was driving southbound on State Rout 9 when she left the roadway to the east and continued driving southbound.
Officers also said she did not yield to the semi-truck.
