8-Year-Old Boy Died Days after San Jose Car Accident on Senter Road
SAN JOSE, CA (September 16, 2019) – An 8-year-old boy died three days following a car accident on Senter Road on Sunday, September 8.
According to police, the fatal collision happened at 4 p.m. on Senter Road near Nokomis Drive in San Jose. A man driving two boys, ages 8 and 9, in a 2018 Honda CRV collided into the rear of a white 2019 Tesla. After that, the Honda veered across oncoming traffic and into a utility pole.
Emergency personnel rushed the three occupants of the Honda to the hospital. The youngest child sustained the most serious injuries, police stated. Paramedics also brought the male driver of the Tesla to the hospital. He received treatments for minor injuries and was released. Two passengers in the Tesla were not hurt.
The 8-year-old succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, September 11. As of Friday afternoon, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office had not released his identity.
