2 Cars Collide on Highway 99 in Chico, Major Injuries and Damage Reported
CHICO, CA (January 28, 2019) – At least one person was badly injured following a two-car crash late Monday afternoon in Chico.
The crash happened around 5:41 p.m. on Highway 99 at Wilson Landing Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry and a silver Ford Fusion collided, blocking the highway in both directions.
When officers arrived, they located at least one occupant with major injuries. The patient was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The impact of the crash also caused major front-end damage on the Camry. Both cars were towed away from the wreckage.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine its mechanics and liability.
