1 Dead in Buellton Auto Accident on Highway 246 and Skytt Mesa Drive

 
BUELLTON, CA (October 6, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, Charlotte Ann Buck suffered injuries in a deadly crash on Highway 246 and Skytt Mesa Drive.
 
The incident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. on Highway 246 and Skytt Mesa Drive. According to reports, 71-year-old Stephen Waldman of Buellton drove west on Highway 246. Then, he pulled over to the side of the road to make a U-turn.
 
Meanwhile, a 73-year-old San Bautista woman driving a Honda CRV was following behind. As Waldman made an ‘unsafe turn’ in front of her, he crashed into the right rear of the CRV. As a result, the CRV veered off the road and hit an oak tree.
 
As a result, the CRV driver sustained major injuries and responders took her to Marian Regional Medical Center. However, she later succumbed to her injuries. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, a 73-year-old CRV passenger, Charlotte Ann Buck of Duarte, sustained moderate injuries. Responders took her to an ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
Waldman suffered no injuries in the collision. Also, the incident closed Highway 246 for a time in the area of the crash.
