Sedalia, MO (September 4, 2024) – On Tuesday night, 62-year-old Charles Lawson sustained serious injuries in a crash on Highway 65.

Reportedly, a 62-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a crash Tuesday night on Highway 65 at Rebar Road in Pettis County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states that the crash occurred when a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 21-year-old David Cosurco of Hughesville, was heading southbound and failed to stop at a red light. The Suburban collided with a 1991 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 62-year-old Charles Lawson of Sedalia.

After the collision, the Suburban veered off the road and struck a light pole, according to the report.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and Lawson was transported to Bothwell Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
