5 People Hurt in Gorin Auto Accident on State Highway U
GORIN, MO (August 21, 2024) – Sunday, Charles Horst and four others sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway U.
The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on State Highway U, west of Gorin.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an SUV lost control for still unknown reasons veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Moreover, responders transported the driver of the vehicle, identified as 18-year-old Horst, and his passengers, 21-year-old Le Edwin Horst, 19-year-old Dale Hoover, and 30-year-old Richard Martin, to a hospital, all with serious injuries. Then, paramedics transported a fourth passenger, 24-year-old Phares Hoover, to a hospital with moderate injuries.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
