WSP Trooper Hurt in Fatal Traffic Collision at Taylor Towne Milepost 352
Mason County, WA (April 07, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, 72-year-old Charles Ferree and 49-year-old Deolia Blandford died and a WSP trooper suffered injuries in a horrific traffic crash on Highway 101.
According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), the fatal collision happened around 2:30 p.m. on Highway 101 at Taylor Towne milepost 352.
Reports say that a trooper was southbound on Highway 101 when a vehicle turned off of Southeast Lynch Road onto the highway causing the trooper to hit the car.
Officials say that 2 occupants of the car, identified as Ferree and Blandford, both of Ollala, were pronounced dead at the scene, while the trooper was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is investigating the crash.
