Horrific Chain-Reaction Crash on Interstate 70 Injures 2 People [Kansas City, MO]

Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-70 Near Adam’s Dairy Parkway

Kansas City, MO (December 18, 2024) On Monday evening, 2 people were hurt and hospitalized after a 4-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Interstate 70.

Authorities say that the multi-vehicle collision on I-70 happened at about 8:30 p.m. near Adam’s Dairy Parkway.

Reports say that the four-car collision on I-70 near Adam’s Dairy Parkway sent two people to the hospital and left two vehicles totaled.

Authorities say that a 24-year-old woman driving a Ford Taurus eastbound on I-70 struck another vehicle, causing a chain reaction involving two additional cars. The Ford Taurus sustained total damage, and the driver suffered moderate injuries. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The second vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 65-year-old man, was also totaled, though the driver escaped without injuries.

A 45-year-old woman driving a GMC Acadia, the third car in the crash, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. Her vehicle was moderately damaged and required towing.

The fourth vehicle, a Chevrolet Trailblazer, sustained minor damage. Its driver, a 52-year-old man, was unharmed and able to drive away from the scene.

All involved drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Blue Springs Police Department assisted at the scene.
