18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Minivan near The Oaks Mall
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (May 17, 2019) – Authorities identified 18-year-old Chad Tsumpes of Thousand Oaks as the motorcyclist killed in a crash near the AMC movie theater at The Oaks mall.
According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on West Hillcrest Drive, at about 12:30 PM. A minivan attempted to turn north on Marin Street when it struck a westbound motorcycle.
Tsumpes suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, an ambulance transported two minivan occupants to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Further updates on their current conditions were not provided.
