Chad Hunt Dies, Driver Critical after Head-On Crash on 52nd Street and Cactus Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (April 29, 2022) – Friday morning, 43-year-old Chad Hunt died and one other driver sustained severe injuries in a head-on crash on 52nd Street and Cactus Road.

The fatal head-on crash in Phoenix happened on April 29.

Phoenix Police said the collision involved three vehicles. 

Reportedly, a Chevy Equinox reportedly crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, hitting another vehicle head-on.

As a result, the Chevy driver, Hunt, died at the crash scene.

EMS took the other driver to a hospital in critical condition. 

Police said a third vehicle was sideswiped during the collision, but the driver suffered only minor injuries.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
