5-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured in Deadly Crash at Ramona Avenue and Howard Street
MONTCLAIR, CA (February 8, 2020) – Two people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Montclair.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ramona Avenue and Howard Street.
According to the CHP, multiple vehicles including a Nissan sedan and Ford Explorer were involved in the crash.
As a result, both the driver of the Nissan, 67-year-old Celia Florez Orozco, and one of her passengers, 65-year-old Jose Valdez Orozco, died at the scene. Both were Pomona residents.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported a 5-year-old boy and the driver of the Explorer to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the SUV driver was allegedly impaired when the crash happened. He also may have ran the stop sign at the intersection.
The agency only identified him as a 32-year-old Garden Grove man.
The Montclair Police Department is investigating the crash.
