Cecilia Shu Killed in Oceanside Pedestrian Accident on Benet Road near Leepish Drive

OCEANSIDE, CA (June 6, 2022) – Sunday morning, Cecilia Shu, 68, died in a hit-and-run crash on Benet Road near Leepish Drive.

According to the Oceanside Police, the fatal accident happened on Benet Road near Leepish Drive at around 8:20 a.m.

Reports revealed that a black Honda SUV dro

ve into the sidewalk and struck a female pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk. Then, witnesses said that the SUV made a U-turn after the collision and then fled the scene.

Moreover, responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers believed that the incident is accidental. Also, police believed that the hit-and-run driver was male and about 20 to 25 years old.

Shu, an Oceanside grandmother, is survived by her family, including her daughter, Enid Shu.

A GoFundMe for Ms. Shu’s memorial expenses has yet to be created.
