Driver Injured in Milepost 276 Fatal Crash
Andrews County, TX (June 27, 2024) – 53-year-old Catherine Koonsman was killed in a Highway 176 collision early Wednesday morning.
It was about 3:40 a.m. when the fatal traffic crash happened at milepost 276.
According to the investigating officers, an eastbound Mack CXU driven by Koonsman attempted to make a U-turn.
However, as Koonsman was making the U-turn, a Freightliner Coronado driven by Manuel Hernandez, 38, collided with Koonsman in the westbound lane of the highway.
Koonsman was declared deceased at the scene while Hernandez was seriously injured.
Troopers are still investigating this traffic collision.
